Our glass is the choice when it comes to shower walls. And it is therefore vital that this important component remains transparent for many years – crystal clear in the truest sense of the word. This is the only way to ensure that the product remains attractive and retains its value even after many years. If customers no longer see value in products, they will be disposed of – something that we want to prevent.
In order to guarantee long-lasting pleasure, DUSCHOLUX (based in Thun in the Bernese Oberland) has developed CareTec® Pro glass finishing together with an EMPA spin-off. The innovative technology makes the glass significantly less susceptible to external effects.
Glass corrosion, for example, is a major adversary of flawless glass surfaces and causes the glass to cloud up over the years.
Glass corrosion or glass rust are terms used to describe the structural change and associated weathering of the glass surface caused by various chemical and physical influences. To counteract these changes, CareTec® Pro is applied to our glass during production. The ultra-thin film lays on the glass surface and in doing so protects the glass structure from harmful influences. The lotus effect makes cleaning and care significantly easier, thereby sustainably reducing water and detergent consumption.
DUSCHOLUX guarantees ten years of protection against glass corrosion and five years of freedom from cleaning.
